Organization Background

The Wyoming Free Circulating Library Association is located in the village of Wyoming, NY.   As an association library and part of the Pioneer Library System we not only serve the Village of Wyoming and the surrounding villages but also provide materials through inter-library loan to the other 42 libraries in the system located in Wyoming, Wayne, Livingston and Ontario Counties.

The library has continuously been an integral part of the community and governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees since its charter was granted in 1889.   The Wyoming Free Library is dedicated to serving the community as an educational, cultural and literary center providing free recreational, educational and informational materials and services that promote an environment which  encourages all community members to utilize the libraries’ programs and resources.

Mission Statement

Wyoming Free Library provides and maintains a facility dedicated to promoting an environment which encourages all community members to utilize its programs and resources (1) to enhance their general and specific topic knowledge for personal and educational needs, and (2) for recreational, literary and cultural purposes.
